The Meaning of Fountain Grass Flowers and Correct Care Methods
There is a plant whose leaves are very special, looking like a dynamic miniature fountain, bringing a tranquil yet lively visual enjoyment. It is also an almost universally compatible herbaceous plant. What was described above is fountain grass. Its meaning is very romantic, and its flower language is love tempered by time, love that stays together forever like a fountain.

Fountain grass is a high-end foliage material, defined in the floral world as the Hermes of grasses. There are generally two specifications on the market: one is grown domestically, which is shorter in form and has smaller flower spikes, and the other is imported, which is fuller in form and has larger flower spikes. After buying fresh cut flowers from the market, generally even if the seller has used absorbent cotton to do a water-retention treatment, because this kind of grass plant dehydrates very easily, the leaf stems will feel slightly soft to the touch. After removing the packaging, first take a bucket and fill it with water, and revive the flowers in deep water for about three hours. After the flowers have revived, take them out and shake off the leaves below the bottle mouth to prevent the submerged leaves from rotting and breeding bacteria.

Here it should be noted that when removing the other leaves, you must be careful and not tear them off directly; use the ring-stripping method and gently remove them. Then take a vase and fill it with about 1/3 water. If conditions allow, add a little preservative and a few drops of 84 disinfectant. Cut the base at an angle according to the height of the vase, and when cutting, avoid the nodes. Finally, after inserting them into the vase, change the water every day, and before changing the water, also clean the inside of the vase thoroughly.
Fountain grass is one of the first choices of indoor plants for many households. How should it be cared for in pots? First, it likes sufficient sunlight, but in the hot summer it also needs to avoid strong direct light to prevent the leaves from being scorched. The recommended placement is near a window. Its water requirement is moderate; just keep the soil moist without water accumulation. During the growing season, fertilizer should be applied once a month with a balanced liquid fertilizer. This helps it grow vigorously. In winter, no fertilization is needed. With just a little care as described above, fountain grass can create a natural, quiet corner for you at home.
