Eight Flowers Not Suitable for the Bedroom, They May Affect Your Health
When choosing flowers to decorate the bedroom, careful consideration is needed. Some plants, when grown in a smaller bedroom, may affect your health. Below are several flowers that are notsuitable for the bedroom and the reasons why.
Orchid. Although orchids are elegant and have a charming fragrance, their scent is fairly strong. In a relatively enclosed bedroom with limited space, a strong floral fragrance easily stimulates the nervous system, causing excitement and affecting the depth and quality of sleep.

Lily. Lilies are beautiful and moving, with a rich fragrance. However, their strong and lasting scent may cause allergic reactions in some people, such as sneezing and a runny nose. In addition, an overly strong floral fragrance at night can interfere with breathing, making it hard to fall asleep peacefully.

Narcissus. The bulbs of narcissus contain lycorine toxin, and eating them by mistake can cause symptoms such as vomiting and enteritis. Its floral fragrance is also fairly strong, and smelling it for a long time may make people feel dizzy.

Tulip. Tulips are brilliantly colored and highly ornamental. But their flowers contain a substance called alkaloid, and long-term contact may cause physical discomfort, such as dizziness and fatigue. In the bedroom, this contact is more frequent and close.

Night-blooming jasmine. Night-blooming jasmine gives off a rich fragrance at night to attract insects for pollination. But for humans, this fragrance is too strong and irritating, causing breathing difficulty and affecting sleep.

Chinese rose. Chinese roses are fragrant and gorgeous, but the scent they give off is fairly strong and may cause discomfort such as chest tightness and shortness of breath. Especially in a relatively enclosed environment like a bedroom, this discomfort is amplified.

Poinsettia. Although poinsettia has bright colors, its sap is somewhat toxic. In the bedroom, if you accidentally come into contact with its sap, it may cause allergic reactions such as red, swollen and itchy skin, posing a threat to health.

Dumb cane. The sap of dumb cane contains toxic components, and if you accidentally touch it or eat it by mistake, it may cause poisoning reactions such as swelling and pain in the mouth and throat and a burning pain in the stomach. In the bedroom, there is a certain safety risk.

When choosing flowers for the bedroom, you should fully consider the characteristics of the flowers and their potential effects on human health and sleep, and avoid choosing the flowers mentioned above.
