The flower language and symbolic meaning of the fire orchid; how long can fresh flowers be kept in water in summer?
Today let's talk about the most tenacious variety in the orchid world, the "fire orchid." When it blooms, it looks like a burning flame, very passionate, giving people a feeling of being full of energy, so this kind of orchid represents the spirit of never giving up.

In terms of flower color, the fire orchid has a unique orange-to-yellow gradient, and the flower lines are very beautiful. Generally speaking, the vase life of fresh cut flowers is 5-10 days. How exactly should they be cared for? After buying the flowers and bringing them home, first open the packaging and cut the stems at an angle. Take a bucket filled with water for rehydrating flowers and keep the leaves on while deep-water rehydrating for about 3 hours. After the flowers have rehydrated, tidy up the stems and use scissors to remove excess leaves and rotten leaves. The leaves of the fire orchid are very beautiful, so after removing them you can also put the leaves separately in a vase. Then, once tidied, take a vase you like and add water to 2/3 full. Hold the flowers in your hand using a spiral method, aligning the flower heads with the upper left and lower right. Finally, cut the stems at an angle according to the height of the vase. As for changing the water, in summer change it every day; in winter you can change it every 2~3 days. If you find withered buds, promptly pinch them off and remove them.

In some cultures, the fire orchid is also regarded as a symbol of luck and prosperity, so it is also very suitable for pot cultivation. What should be noted in daily home care? First, the fire orchid likes bright but not direct light. It is recommended to place it near a window with diffused light, so that it avoids direct sunlight and can also absorb light. Its flowering period is mostly from May to July, so it is suitable for growing in a warm and humid environment and likes temperatures between 18~30°C.

Then, in terms of water control, the watering principle for the fire orchid is "slightly moist soil." Be careful not to overwater, otherwise it is prone to root rot. In summer, you can regularly spray the plant and the surrounding environment to increase air humidity. Finally, if you want beautiful blooms, fertilizer is indispensable. During the growing season of the fire orchid, apply a special orchid fertilizer once a month, following the principle of "light fertilizer applied frequently" to avoid too high a concentration.
