The flower language of Australian waxflower is eternal love and loyal, unchanging affection. It is a very easy flower to grow, with an extremely long flowering period. At the flower market you will generally see bright red, blue, pink and white Australian waxflowers. Most of the bright red and blue ones are dyed, while pink and white are its own natural flower colors. After buying a bouquet from the market, unwrap the packaging, trim about one inch off the roots, then place it in a flower bucket and do a deep-water awakening for about three hours. Once the flowers have awakened, you can trim the fine leaves near the roots. If you find it hard to clean off the broken leaves on top, you can use a towel and simply wipe them off from the roots, keeping the part of the stems sitting in water clean. Finally, find a nice-looking vase, add 1/3 water, then cut the roots at an angle according to the height of the vase and put the flowers in the vase. In daily care, change the water about every 2~3 days, and avoid blowing air conditioning directly on them.

In addition, Australian waxflower can also be grown in pots. In daily care it likes sunlight, so it is recommended that growers place it near a south-facing window so it can receive plenty of sunlight, because if it does not get enough light, the plant may produce fewer flowers. As for watering, it is drought-tolerant, and the frequency of watering can follow the principle of keeping the soil slightly moist. Before each watering, you can feel the soil with your hand to decide whether to water. Avoid standing water at the bottom of the pot, otherwise it easily causes root rot. Finally, if you want the Australian waxflower to bloom brilliantly, apply a fertilizer rich in phosphorus and potassium once a month during the growing season.
