What is the difference between Phalaenopsis Buddha's Treasure and Phalaenopsis Fantasy Girl, and which one is better looking?
As everyone knows, twins always look especially alike, and they can even be similar in personality, temperament, and way of thinking. But it turns out that, besides humans, flowers are the same way. Today let's talk about two "twin" Phalaenopsis orchids that look and appear basically the same.

One of these two Phalaenopsis orchids is called Fantasy Girl, and the other is called Buddha's Treasure. If you try to tell them apart by appearance alone, they basically belong to the face-blind flower type, and even the lip and the center of the flower are almost exactly the same. If you insist on distinguishing Fantasy Girl from Buddha's Treasure by the flowers, then you have to look at them in sunlight: the petals of Fantasy Girl have a more velvety texture, while the petals of Buddha's Treasure are more waxy and look shiny. As for the flower size of the two varieties, the basic size of both is around 5-6 cm.
So, since they have so many similarities, how should they be distinguished? In fact, they can be distinguished by their leaves and flower spikes. First, the leaves of Buddha's Treasure are on the darker side, the undersides of the leaves are brownish red, and the flower spike is a red stem. Fantasy Girl, on the other hand, has green leaves on both the front and back, and the flower spike is also emerald green. The thing they have in common here is that the leaf shapes of the two flowers are basically similar, both with a rather hard and firm feel, as if they are especially well nourished. In addition, the color of new roots is different: when Fantasy Girl first sends out roots, the tips are green, while when Buddha's Treasure first sends out roots, they are reddish brown. In other words, the colors of their leaves and flower spikes are the same.
Besides looking for differences in the leaves and roots, the spacing of the flower buds of Fantasy Girl and Buddha's Treasure is also different. The flowers of Fantasy Girl are spaced a bit farther apart, so as they grow they look more delicate and graceful, while the flower buds of Buddha's Treasure are spaced more densely, so as they grow they look fuller.
As for the care experience, both are varieties whose flowering season starts with spikes in spring and blooms in summer. During the growth period, Buddha's Treasure grows a bit faster, while Fantasy Girl grows a bit slower. In addition, Fantasy Girl is more afraid of heat. If the care environment is too exposed to the sun or the temperature is too high, its leaves are prone to splitting. Finally, the prices of the two also differ quite a lot: Fantasy Girl costs about 150 yuan more than Buddha's Treasure.
