Banqiao Fuzhou Social Housing Urban Planning Individual Change Launched, Combining Police and Fire Services to Create a Safe and Livable Environment

(Taiwan TB News Network / Reporter Sun Yaozhang) In response to the demand for social housing in Banqiao District, New Taipei City, in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior's Construction and Planning Agency social housing construction plan, conducted a public exhibition of the urban planning change case, and in response to the police and fire department building needs in the Banqiao Fuzhou area, combined with the vision space of the Taiwan University of Arts Cultural and Creative Industries Park, planned to build social housing on two sites after the relocation of the former Taipei Paper Mill and the Central Weather Bureau High-Altitude Sounding Station, and the public may submit relevant opinions during the public exhibition period for reference in subsequent deliberations.

Huang Guofeng, Director-General of the New Taipei City Urban and Rural Development Bureau, stated that in response to the housing demand from population growth in the Banqiao area, this project uses public land to build social housing, and in order to enhance the quality of public services in the areas where future social housing will be located, the two sites are planned to accommodate public welfare facilities such as police, fire, daytime care, and infant care, creating a safe and livable living environment.

This Fuzhou Social Housing Urban Planning Change Case has been on public exhibition for 40 days starting from January 13, 2022 (ROC year 111), and a public exhibition briefing session was held on February 10, 2022 (ROC year 111). The public may submit relevant opinions during the public exhibition period for reference in subsequent deliberations.
