[Taiwan Shopping District Industry and Tourism Development Association] Second Anniversary and Thanksgiving Dinner - Presidential Congratulatory Message, Vice Premier Shen Rongjin of the Executive Yuan Personally Attends to Congratulate!

(Taiwan TB News Network / Reporter Zhu Zhu) The Taiwan Shopping District Industry and Tourism Development Association held its first third member assembly and second anniversary thanksgiving dinner on the evening of 1/5 in Taoyuan City, chaired by President Zhou Shuimei. Shopping district chairpersons from all over Taiwan, north, central and south, attended enthusiastically. In addition to a congratulatory message from President Tsai Ing-wen, congratulatory messages also poured in from the Vice President, Minister of Economic Affairs Wang Meihua, Minister of Transportation Chang Hsi-tsung, as well as Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taichung City, Tainan City and Kaohsiung City. The "Five Metropolises" all sent congratulations one after another, showing that shopping districts play a pivotal role in each locality and are highly valued jointly by the mayors of the five metropolises. Because the event was held at the Royal Wei Ting Banquet Hall, Falanxin Hall in Taoyuan, Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wen-tsan even sent a congratulatory telegram praising the association for "benefiting society." Finally, at the thanksgiving dinner, Vice Premier Shen Rongjin of the Executive Yuan also personally came to the venue to deliver a speech and wish the assembly complete success, while also hoping that Taiwan could overcome the pandemic as soon as possible and achieve the goal of shared prosperity among shopping districts.

The Taiwan Shopping District Industry and Tourism Development Association President Zhou Shuimei also deeply felt how difficult and challenging this year had been. It was also a year that major shopping districts across the country had never anticipated, as the domestic pandemic led to a nationwide alert, a depression across all industries, and a severe impact on the domestic industrial economy, dealing an unprecedented blow to shopping district stores. The impact it caused was not merely the loss of a single industry; the supply chains of related industries across all sectors were also greatly affected. At this moment, the "Taiwan Shopping District Industry and Tourism Development Association" needs to better strengthen member services, consolidate the centripetal cohesion of all members, and give play to the effect of pooling wisdom and efforts and uniting as one.

President Zhou Shuimei stated: Having humbly served as the first president, in this era of storms and upheaval, I have all the more obligation to stimulate industrial momentum, integrate effective resources, and achieve the goal of prosperous and mutually beneficial shopping districts. At the same time, I look forward to the joining of new members, which can bring new stimulation and creativity to the association, and I even more welcome shopping district groups from different cities and industries to work together in unity and innovation.

At the first third member assembly of the Taiwan Shopping District Industry and Tourism Development Association, a report was given on-site regarding 2021 activities and business results. It mentioned a classic quote from Zhou Shuimei, President of the Taiwan Shopping District Association: "Those who understand service and giving will receive returns," encouraging the hardworking staff. Everyone felt that under the leadership of President Shuimei, they had been united, flourishing and explosive. In particular, when giving a speech at the thanksgiving dinner, President Shuimei once again proposed that every shopping district chairperson should in the future be able to become a live-streamer or internet celebrity, which stirred warm applause from every shopping district member and all guests below the stage. Judging from the momentum of the on-site activities attended by those present, it made everyone loudly praise in unison: "Shui ya!" In the lively, sparkling atmosphere of the evening party, everyone looks forward to the inspiring milestone the shopping districts will bring!
