New Taipei E-Commerce Academy Helps Businesses Seize Stay-at-Home Opportunities Amid the "Pandemic," Receives Rave Reviews

(Taiwan TB News Network / Reporter Sun Yao-chang) The domestic economy has been affected by the pandemic, and with local outbreaks escalating sharply in May this year, the nationwide alert level was raised to Level 3, dealing a severe blow to many industries. To help businesses in New Taipei City seize stay-at-home economy opportunities, New Taipei City- has launched 28 online training courses since June, inviting 18 top instructors from various fields, covering everything from micro e-commerce to platform e-commerce, domestic e-commerce to cross-border e-commerce, and on-platform operations to social media, imparting professional e-commerce knowledge and skills to accelerate merchants' digital transformation.

Director-General of the Economic Development Department He Yi-ming stated that to balance pandemic prevention with assisting merchants' digital transformation, this year's New Taipei E-Commerce Academy has, for the first time, conducted all courses, one-on-one consultations, and project-based coaching online. Because there were no restrictions on class location or number of participants, over 1,200 business professionals were attracted to participate, and more than 180 companies received coaching, with this year's participation exceeding previous years.

This year's New Taipei e-commerce courses focused on "graphic communication," "data advertising," and "video livestreaming," offering courses on community management, content marketing, FB advertising, data analysis, and influencer and livestreaming courses, helping merchants use media to close the distance with customers. Many participating businesses gave positive feedback. For example, Xiangshuai Cake Co., Ltd. stated: "The copywriting instructor taught using case studies combined with hands-on practice, highlighting the company's features and strengthening communication links with the market, enhancing advertising and marketing effectiveness." Cui Zhi Guo Food Biotechnology Co., Ltd. stated: "The New Taipei E-Commerce Academy adopted multi-faceted course planning, greatly improving the company's management and marketing concepts. We hope New Taipei City can regularly offer such courses to help businesses expand into the e-commerce market."

The pandemic has brought a new lifestyle, with people's consumption patterns gradually shifting from offline to online. New Taipei City is actively helping merchants and businesses transform and expand new business models and opportunities. The e-commerce courses concluded successfully at the end of September. Those interested in transformation can use one-on-one consultation services or call the consultation hotline at (02) 2581-3521#611.
