Spring Comes to Pingtung: Tour Liudui Together and Bring New Vitality Out of the Hakka Villages

Pingtung County - In response to the "Liudui 300th Anniversary Celebration IN Pingtung," a special series of events titled "Traversing Liudui: Strolling and Riding the Trails" was planned. On the afternoon of the 28th at 3 PM at Wandan Park, "Stride on the Liudui Walk Together" kicked off this series of events, with more than 3,000 people on site exploring the origins of Liudui together and experiencing in depth the humanistic charm, beautiful scenery and local specialties of Liudui.

The "Traversing Liudui: Strolling and Riding the Trails" series comprises 4 events in total, integrating the concept of the four seasons - "Spring Prayer, Summer Outing, Autumn Harvest, Winter Blessing" - and allowing the public to participate together through walking, road running and cycling and other sports for all. The first themed event is "Stride on the Liudui Walk Together," followed by the "LIU DUI 300 RUN Liudui Hakka Village Road Run" on May 30, the "Bicycle Leisure Tour of the Countryside" on August 22, and "Big Hands Holding Small Hands: Easy Walk on Liudui" on October 30, among other series events that explore each dui, allowing the public to better understand the historical trajectory of Hakka cultural inheritance in Liudui.

The Sports Development Center stated that "Stride on the Liudui Walk Together" plans a walk of about 6.5 km, with the route passing through Wanquan Temple, Wanhui Temple and Lanlan Village (Siwei Village) and other important places of origin of Liudui, combining fun interactive experiences, local Hakka snack supply stations, and guided commentary on cultural attractions along the way. The main venue stage area also features rich Hakka cultural performances and the raffle event most anticipated by the public, while the surrounding area also offers traditional Hakka flower arranging experiences, paper-cutting DIY experiences, printmaking experiences, Hakka-language board games and a Hakka Flavor FUN market, letting every participant feel a Hakka charm different from the past.

Pingtung County - It is hoped that through the year-round event planning of "Traversing Liudui: Strolling and Riding the Trails," people can feel different Hakka historical trajectories and cultural transmission through the four-season activities, enriching diverse life journeys. It is further hoped that holding the events will drive a trend of sports for all, with parents and children walking outdoors hand in hand, strengthening the cohesion between family members and between parents and children.
