Attending the Pingtung Golden Diamond Pineapple Promotion Event at the Legislative Yuan: Premier Su Supports Farmers

Premier Su Tseng-chang was warmly invited on the 2nd by Legislator Chou Chun-mi and Pingtung County Magistrate Pan Meng-an to attend the "Pingtung Golden Diamond Pineapple Promotion Event" held at the Legislative Yuan. Premier Su Tseng-chang stated that Taiwan's pineapples were suspended from export to China because China violated international norms and abruptly called a halt. - In response, not only has there been an active response, but compatriots nationwide have also sprung into action, including public banks, enterprises, and the people, all standing up in support, standing together with farmers and fruit growers, making Taiwan prosperous!

Premier Su Tseng-chang pointed out that on February 27, the Pingtung Green Land Agricultural Specialty Products Production Cooperative exported a container of pineapples to Japan. Japan did not reject Taiwan's pineapples, but China took such a surprise action. The Premier urged fellow citizens to stand up, support pineapple farmers, and everyone "eat pineapples, prosper!"

Premier Su Tseng-chang further stated that all sectors nationwide have been mobilized because of this incident, including public banks and the business community, all wanting to buy pineapples. Because Taiwan's pineapples are of good quality, domestic sales account for 90%, while exports account for only 10%. He asked all sectors in Taiwan to actively support and stand with pineapple farmers.
