How effective are the three flower fungicides?
Triadimefon, chlorothalonil and xiaojunling are three fungicides commonly used on flowers. When using them, we can follow the points below.
Triadimefon has preventive, eradicative and fumigant effects on rust and powdery mildew. It can control apple rust, poplar rust for agricultural operations, chrysanthemum rust, sedge rust, rose rust, rose powdery mildew, begonia powdery mildew, cineraria powdery mildew, ivy powdery mildew and so on. For example, when spraying with 25% triadimefon wettable powder, the usual concentration is a 3000-4000 times dilution; when spraying with 20% triadimefon emulsifiable concentrate, the usual concentration is a 2000 times dilution. In addition, triadimefon also has a certain control effect on flower leaf blight, brown spot and leaf spot.
Chlorothalonil has a preventive effect on many plant diseases. Chlorothalonil has good adhesion to plant surfaces and is not easily washed off by rain, so it has a relatively long effective period, generally 10 days. However, it has no systemic translocation effect and will not be absorbed from the sprayed site or the root system, so spraying should be uniform and thorough. Usually, spraying with a 600-1000 times dilution of 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder can effectively control rose black spot, poplar black spot, chrysanthemum brown spot, peony brown spot, rubber tree anthracnose, clivia anthracnose, cherry brown spot shot hole disease and so on. Chlorothalonil is somewhat irritating to human skin and eyes, so corresponding protective measures should be taken during use.
Xiaojunling can not only prevent and kill bacteria, but also has a strong ability to kill viruses. In addition, because its raw materials are urea and potassium salt, it also promotes plant growth. Spraying with a 1000-2000 times dilution of 50% xiaojunling wettable powder can effectively control rose black spot, rose powdery mildew, rose dieback, rose gray mold, rose crown gall, tulip blight, lily leaf blight, chrysanthemum mosaic disease, salvia mosaic disease, lawn brown patch, lawn stem rot and various root rots, stem rots and so on.
