Symptoms and Control Methods of Magnesium Deficiency in Flowers and Ornamental Plants
What are the symptoms of magnesium deficiency in flowers and ornamental plants? How to prevent and control it?
Magnesium-deficient plants grow poorly. In older leaves, chlorosis spreads from the leaf margins toward the center, from bottom to top, and the leaves gradually turn white; spots of various colors appear along the veins, and eventually the whole leaf turns yellow. For control, spray a 0.20%-0.40% magnesium sulfate aqueous solution 3-4 times in a row, with an interval of 7-10 days between sprays. For soil severely deficient in magnesium, apply 5-10 kg of magnesium sulfate per mu, mixing it into the base fertilizer in autumn or winter and applying it to the soil.
