Matchmaking blockchain industry startup hub "N24 ARK.TPE" opens
Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je attended the opening press conference of N24 ARK.TPE on the 24th. To support the East District Gateway Project, the Taipei City Government is building a startup industry corridor in Nangang, linking the Neihu Technology Park and the Nangang Economic and Trade Park, and promoting the establishment of the "N24 ARK·TPE - Taipei Blockchain Innovation Incubation Base," with Kao Chi-chun, chairman of the "Taiwan Blockchain Enthusiasts Association," leading the operations team to help Taipei's emerging industries rise to become an international city.
In the past, "N24 ARK.TPE" was a former Taiwan Power Company central warehouse (AR1) that, after renovation, was revitalized and transformed into a startup base, with a total floor area of 387 ping, including a blockchain Living Lab, a themed pavilion, exchange spaces, meeting spaces and startup offices. Through co-creation workshops and smart retail exhibition areas, it forms a community cluster that drives the surrounding neighborhood, and a blockchain-themed pavilion has been set up to become a highlight base, thereby attracting foreign investment, driving related industries to rise to become an international city, and creating economic benefits.
Mayor Ko Wen-je said that AR1 is in fact the starting point of the entire East District Gateway Project, the so-called "gateway." From here all the way to the Taipei Music Center, the Biotechnology Center, Academia Sinica and the Nangang Exhibition Center, an elevated corridor will connect them in the future, and all of it will be completed within two years. Blockchain is a technology that can be used in healthcare, economics, finance, agriculture and many other fields, with many uses. Although it is still in the development stage, after the establishment of ARK.TPE it can encompass emerging industries, the online world, the internet world and physical spaces, becoming a matchmaking venue for the blockchain industry.
Mayor Ko Wen-je finally emphasized that Taipei will have a total of 23 innovation bases in the future, including land and strategic spaces that are all laid out. The last mile is for young people to come in and carry it forward. He therefore wished ARK.TPE great success and that it would give a boost to the industrial upgrading and innovative development of Taipei and Taiwan.
