How to manage cactus flowers in winter

1. Water less: Cacti are tropical plants that grow in dry, high-temperature environments, so they should not be watered too much, otherwise the roots and stems of the cactus will rot. After the beginning of winter, watering should be stopped to keep the potting soil dry and prompt the cactus to enter a dormant state. If improper watering in winter breaks their dormancy and restores their physiological activity, the cold resistance of the plant will decrease, and it will easily suffer frost damage and rot.

2. Give more sunlight: Cacti are originally tropical plants, and their original growing environment has strong sunlight, so if you want them to grow well, you should put them in the sun every day, and even the strong light at noon is nothing to fear.

3. The flower pot must be ventilated: Some pots are not ventilated at the bottom. If the pot is not ventilated, water will accumulate. Standing water below 0°C will freeze, which will corrode the roots of the cactus and cause the plant to freeze and die.

4. Keep the room ventilated: The places of origin of cacti are generally open deserts with good ventilation. Therefore, during cultivation, try to keep the room ventilated and often open the windows for air exchange.
