How to fertilize flowers for good results? Little tips for fertilizing flowers

Everyone knows that growing flowers is a test of perseverance. Take fertilizing flowers, for example. Many people think fertilizing flowers is a very simple matter, and that occasionally scattering some fertilizer is enough. Well, I can tell you clearly that this method of fertilizing flowers is wrong. It is simply impossible for the fertilizer to spread to the bottom of the flower pot. So how should flowers be fertilized? Let me tell you a little trick.

Some of us also bury some fertilizer at the bottom of the flower pot when planting plants. Even so, the fertilizer cannot spread evenly through the whole process. The main thing is that if we bury fertilizer at the bottom of the flower pot, we can only do it when repotting each year, and at no other time. We now have some methods that can solve this problem.

We have always thought that when applying fertilizer, the closer the plant's roots are to the fertilizer, the more fully they can absorb the fertilizer's nutrients. In fact, if the plant's roots are too close to the fertilizer, they may be burned to death by the fertilizer. So the distance between the roots and the fertilizer must be somewhat greater.

Actually, burying fertilizer at the bottom of the flower pot can be done, because the bottom of the plant's roots can come into contact with the fertilizer, and their distance is not too great either. Then, after absorbing the nutrients in the fertilizer, it can pass them on to the other roots. But as we said before, doing this has drawbacks.

It is impossible for us, while growing plants, to pull the plant out just to add fertilizer, apply fertilizer at the bottom of the flower pot, and then put it back. That is unrealistic. We can only do this when we repot the plant at the appropriate time each year, but in that case, the point of fertilizing no longer exists. To solve this problem, we also have a method, and it only takes a few straws.

We need to take four straws. The size of the straws can be the same as the straws we usually use for pearl milk tea, with a diameter of about 1 cm. Then we insert these four straws into the four corners of the flower pot respectively. If our flower pot is round, we can just distribute these four straws evenly.

These four straws must be inserted down to the bottom of the flower pot. Before inserting them, we need to use a needle to poke many densely packed small holes in the straws. After inserting them into the flower pot, we can take the straws out. At this time, there will definitely be a lot of soil in the straws. We need to clean the soil out, and then continue to put the straws back in their original positions. After that, if we want to apply potassium fertilizer to the plant, we can just apply it directly into these straws.

Because the straws are hollow, when we apply fertilizer into them, it is actually inside the straws. If we add some more water, the fertilizer will melt very easily and then spread throughout the whole flower pot. Poking some small holes in the straws is also for this purpose.
