2020 Taiwan Smart Agriculture Week is Taiwan's largest professional trade show series for agriculture, fisheries and livestock. The exhibition runs from December 3 to 5, 109 ROC calendar year (2020), for a total of 3 days, and is held in Zone J of Hall 1 at the Nangang Exhibition Center. Under the theme "Benefiting Farmers, Benefiting the People, Happy Pingtung," Pingtung County has planned the "Pingtung Agricultural Feast Pavilion." In addition to showcasing the soft power of Pingtung's premium agricultural products, the exhibition also aims to break through the pandemic and bring in more business opportunities from home and abroad.
Zheng Yongyu, Director of the Pingtung County Agriculture Department, stated that Pingtung's fine mountains and waters create the excellent quality of its agricultural products. This year, affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, it is all the more important to take the initiative, which is why they specially joined the 2020 Taiwan Smart Agriculture Week exhibition to secure domestic and international exposure for Pingtung County's agricultural products and processed goods, hoping to open up new horizons amid the pandemic. At the same time, it serves as a reminder to domestic and international sales channels not to forget to keep purchasing the county's premium agricultural products and processed goods during the pandemic.
The Pingtung County Agriculture Department stated that the "Pingtung Agricultural Feast Pavilion" invited farmers' groups from within the county to participate together, including 8 units: Jiadong Township Farmers' Association, Hengchun Township Farmers' Association, Nanrong Fruit Production Cooperative, Jinyuan Cooperative, Young Farmers Association, Yongxin Cooperative, Formosa Southern Fruit and Vegetable Production Cooperative, and Pingtung County Farmers' Association. Products include wax apples and processed goods, various onion processed goods, fresh bananas, lemon juice and processed goods, burdock, processed goods such as rain mushrooms, fresh jujubes, red beans, black bean processed goods, and turmeric onion drink, all of excellent quality and full of Pingtung's local character. In addition to procurement exchanges with local sales channels, the public is also welcome to visit the exhibition on December 5 to witness the soft power of Pingtung's agriculture. To highlight Pingtung's character, the pavilion's spatial visual composition takes the theme of a fruit tree taking root and spreading its branches and leaves, conveying the concept of "Fruitfully Good Pingtung." During the exhibition, a series of exciting activities and gifts are also prepared in the Pingtung Pavilion, and those who spend enough can draw a red envelope on site to try their luck, with limited quantities. The public from all over Taiwan is welcome to come and join the fun.
