Taichung Youth High School Establishes Esports Specialized Class, Connecting with Industry to Cultivate Esports Talent

The Taichung City Sports Bureau is actively cooperating with schools to promote esports. Among them, Youth High School has a fully equipped broadcasting-capable photography and video studio and professional-grade venue, building a training base for craft-aesthetic water-cooling modification and virtual reality game production, and has established an esports specialized class to cultivate all-around esports industry talent; the school's "Youth Warriors Team" has achieved remarkable results in esports competitions at all levels nationwide, and will participate in the "2020 Taichung Esports Carnival" series of events starting on December 18, exchanging skills and ideas with top players from across the country.

The Taichung City Sports Bureau stated that the esports industry specialized class at Youth High School has built an esports training base that is "all-around and connected with industry." Due to its outstanding results and complete teaching, training, software and hardware, it is the only secondary school training base in central Taiwan to have simultaneous cooperation from the Chinese Taipei Esports Association and the Flash Wolves professional team, providing students with complete team-teaching, on-site visits and workplace internship opportunities, as well as close exchange competitions with universities.

The Taichung City Sports Bureau pointed out that the city government affirms the active cultivation of esports talent by high schools and colleges, and has cooperated with Youth High School to organize the "J Team Esports Train Departure First Stop," the "Warrior Cup Legend Showdown," and other events, all of which received enthusiastic responses from the public. It hopes to continue cultivating Taichung's esports professionals through diversified activities such as forums and competitions.
