What care points should be noted after flower cuttings are taken?
Taking cuttings is a method of flower propagation, but some flowers require more attention, and if they are not carefully cared for after cuttings are taken, the survival rate will be very low, so what should be noted after flower cuttings are taken.
① Shading. Strong sunlight will cause water to evaporate rapidly, resulting in water loss and affecting the survival rate of the cuttings. Cuttings in wooden boxes or flower pots should be placed outdoors at night to receive dew.
② Watering. The first watering must be thorough, and afterward the soil should be kept moist; softwood cuttings need to be kept at 80°C-90°C air humidity.
③ Temperature. Most softwood flower cuttings root well at 20°C-25°C; the suitable rooting temperature for tropical plants is 25°C-30°C, which can promote root growth. Special note: before rooting, the soil must not be loosened and fertilizer must not be applied, otherwise the survival rate will be affected.
