What fungicides are commonly used for diseases caused by fungal pathogens in flowers?
The common pathological conditions caused by fungal pathogens in flowers include: powdery mildew, rust, and so on. Three common agents are introduced here for faster and better targeted application.
Triadimefon: It has preventive, eradicative, and fumigant effects against rust and powdery mildew. It can control apple rust, Populus tomentosa rust, chrysanthemum rust, Carex rust, rose rust, rose powdery mildew, crabapple powdery mildew, cineraria powdery mildew, ivy powdery mildew, and so on. For example, when using 25% triadimefon wettable powder for spraying, the usual concentration is a 3000-4000 fold dilution; when using 20% triadimefon emulsifiable concentrate for spraying, the usual concentration is a 2000 fold dilution. In addition, triadimefon also has a certain control effect on leaf blight, brown spot, and leaf spot of flowers.
Chlorothalonil: It has a preventive effect on many plant diseases. Chlorothalonil has good adhesion to plant surfaces and is not easily washed off by rain, so it has a relatively long efficacy period, generally 10 days. However, it has no systemic conductive action and will not be absorbed from the sprayed area or root system, so spraying should be uniform and thorough. Usually, a 600-1000 fold dilution of 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder is sprayed, which can effectively control rose black spot, poplar black spot, chrysanthemum brown spot, peony brown spot, rubber tree anthracnose, clivia anthracnose, cherry brown spot shot hole disease, and so on. Chlorothalonil has some irritation to human skin and eyes, so corresponding protective measures should be taken during use.
Xiaojunling: Xiaojunling can not only prevent and kill, but also has a strong ability to kill viruses. In addition, because the raw materials for production are urea and potassium salt, it also has the effect of promoting plant growth. Spraying a 1000-2000 fold dilution of 50% Xiaojunling wettable powder can effectively control rose black spot, rose powdery mildew, rose twig blight, rose gray mold, rose crown gall, tulip blight, lily leaf blight, chrysanthemum mosaic disease, salvia mosaic disease, lawn brown patch, lawn stem rot, as well as various root rots and stem rots.
