"Alpine Tea Capital. Chiayi" 2020 Tea Expo: 4-meter giant teapot builds pre-event excitement

The "Alpine Tea Capital. Chiayi" 2020 Tea Expo will open grandly this Saturday at the Jinlan Branch of the Zhongpu Township Farmers' Association. With 3 days to go before the opening, at the promotional press conference on the 18th, Chiayi County Magistrate Weng Chang-liang led the directors-general of township farmers' associations and local tea farmers to give an early reveal of the expo's highlights, unveiling the nation's first nearly 4-meter "handmade ceramic giant teapot" to build pre-event excitement for the event.

This year's theme is Tea&Art, with local tea farmers using art to create the highlights of the local event. Tea farmer Zhong Shao-bo of Taihe Village in Meishan Township was specially commissioned to handcraft a nearly 4-meter, highly eye-catching "ceramic giant teapot," placed at the event entrance to create the imagery of "tea. art" and become a popular photo spot for the event.

Magistrate Weng Chang-liang introduced that this year's Tea Expo features 8 major theme pavilions, 2 major tea-serving areas and other diverse activities. The main "domestic tea-serving area" emphasizes the construction of a traditional tea culture atmosphere, using floral art, tea utensils and more to set up tea spaces, inviting travelers from everywhere to enjoy tea together.

The "Alpine Tea Capital. Chiayi" 2020 Tea Expo will begin in 3 days.
