Qingshui Second-hand Market and Agricultural Product Promotion Kicks Off with Fanfare on 10/24

Hurry to the Qingshui District Farmers' Association to dig for treasures! The Taichung City Environmental Protection Bureau and the Qingshui District Farmers' Association are co-hosting the "Clean Up Your Belongings, Cherish Second-hand Goods" second-hand market and agricultural product promotion event, from 9 AM to 1 PM on October 24 at the Qingshui District Farmers' Association plaza. On site there will be second-hand item recycling exchanges, second-hand flea market stalls, the Recycling Academy Pu Pu Cart (home appliance repair service), and specialty agricultural product sales. The public is welcome to grab a bargain, do their part for the environment, and enjoy local specialty agricultural products.

The Taichung City Environmental Protection Bureau stated that on the day of the event, simply bring 1 waste mobile phone, 10 waste batteries, 3 books (recent magazines or book series), 2 plastic toys, 2 bags (clean and usable), 3 pieces of tableware (cups, bowls, plates, dishes), 30 clean and usable paper bags, or 10 non-woven bags or eco-friendly bags, and you can exchange them for 1 promotional item. Quantities are limited, while supplies last, so please seize the opportunity.

Chen Hung-yi, Acting Director-General of the Taichung City Environmental Protection Bureau, stated that this year the event has been expanded to hold 4 cherish-and-clean second-hand markets. The first 3 events drew continuous crowds, and the final one has been moved to the coastal area, further combined with the Qingshui District Farmers' Association's agricultural product promotion event. In addition to recycling exchanges and second-hand item sales, the Recycling Academy Pu Pu Cart will also be on site, offering repair intake services for 11 small home appliances including electric fans, hair dryers, ovens, water dispensers, Taiwan oranges, rice cookers (electronic cookers), blenders, thermos flasks, dish dryers, fan heaters and rapid boil kettles (a 50 yuan handling fee per item, with additional charges for special materials).
