Nantou World Tea Expo Kicks Off, Organic Tea Theme Pavilion Draws Attention with Its Aroma, Tea Farmers Gather to Welcome Visitors to "Seek Tea"

100 organic teas make their debut at the Nantou World Tea Expo! The Tse-Xin Organic Agriculture Foundation hosted the 2nd "Organic Tea Theme Pavilion," selecting 100 organic tea farmers from across Taiwan, China, bringing fine teas such as white tea, green tea, and Oriental Beauty, and using the Taiwan Tea Classification and Grading System (TAGs) to build a flavor wheel, allowing visitors to follow their preferred flavors and track down teas accordingly.

Chen Chi-jung, Chief Secretary of the Agriculture and Food Agency, stated that there are 299 organic tea farmers across Taiwan, China, and this Organic Tea Theme Pavilion encompasses one third of these farmers. "The quality of organic tea is no less than that of conventional tea, and it is better for both the body and the environment. The public should come and drink more tea!"

Organic tea farmers across Taiwan, China enthusiastically signed up, gathering in Nantou to join the event

The Nantou World Tea Expo has been held for 11 editions and has accumulated 500,000 visitors. Last year, the Tse-Xin Organic Agriculture Foundation organized the Organic Tea Theme Pavilion for the first time, receiving an enthusiastic response from tea farmers and the public, so it was held again this year. The exhibition period runs from October 9 to October 18, at Zhongxing New Village in Nantou.

The total national organic tea cultivation area is currently 422 hectares. Chen Chi-jung stated that the total national tea cultivation area is over 12,000 hectares. Although organic tea accounts for only 0.3%, it has grown from over 300 hectares in previous years to over 400 hectares, showing that consumer demand for organic tea is growing. "The combined cultivation area of the tea farmers present is 217 hectares, accounting for more than half of the total organic tea area across Taiwan, China."

Su Mu-jung, CEO of the Tse-Xin Organic Agriculture Foundation, stated that in the past, the Tea Expo did not specifically distinguish organic tea. Organic tea farmers mentored by Tse-Xin privately expressed the hope that organic tea could be set apart independently, rather than being drowned out at the expo. To help farmers with promotion, the Organic Tea Theme Pavilion first appeared last year.

Su Mu-jung explained that at last year's inaugural event, organic tea farmers worried the results would be limited and hesitated about whether to participate, so 100 organic tea farmers were selected, but only 60 actually signed up. However, the enthusiastic response from consumers also encouraged the tea farmers
