To continue in conjunction with the central government's Safe Travel Project, targeting the central government's independent traveler accommodation discount campaign, an additional subsidy is being offered to travelers coming to stay in Chiayi City, deducting 500 yuan from accommodation costs (limited to one use per person's ID number); for travel agencies planning group tours to Chiayi City, a subsidy of 500 yuan per person per day is also offered, subject to 3 conditions: an itinerary of 2 days and 1 night or more in Chiayi City (the itinerary must include at least 3 attractions listed on the "Chiayi Tourism and Travel Network https://travel.chiayi.gov.tw/"), staying at least 1 night in Chiayi City, and arranging lunch or dinner (choose one) to be eaten in Chiayi City; each travel agency must apply for the subsidy in the name of its head office, with a cap of 1,000 person-times.

The Chiayi City Tourism and Information Office stated that, continuing the summer surge in domestic travel, everyone is welcome to come to Chiayi City's Beixianghu Park in October to experience the one-month-long, largest nighttime light and shadow art exhibition in the country - the "Weaving Light and Shadow Dance" event, which uses "7 major light and shadow" artworks to light up the night of Chiayi City.
