Domestically grown soy milk soft serve, supporting soybean farmers while cooling off! The Taichung City Big Shot Agricultural Products Marketing Cooperative has teamed up with FamilyMart convenience stores and Rongding Investment Co., Ltd. to jointly launch thick soy milk soft serve, almond tofu sundae, soybean butter bread, sesame soy milk angel food cake, and a black tea soy milk cake box, all made with the domestically grown soybean "Kaohsiung Selection No. 10," raising the use rate of domestically grown soybeans.

Chen Jianwei, general manager of the Taichung City Big Shot Agricultural Products Marketing Cooperative, said that although domestically grown soybeans cost more than imported soybeans, support for domestic soybeans among people in the country has been growing in recent years, which has also made retailers willing to lend support. In the case of this cooperation with FamilyMart, 45 metric tons of domestically grown soybeans will be used in a year. FamilyMart said that 80% of its fresh food supply uses domestically produced ingredients, and this launch of new domestic coarse grain products is also meant to use the power of retail channels to support local farmers.
