Taiwanese seeds to go to space for the first time! Phalaenopsis equestris, Taiwan quinoa, chili pepper, and sunflower to set off aboard a spacecraft in October
Taiwanese seeds will go to space for the first time this October! The National Space Organization (NSPO) is taking part in a science program of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), and at the end of July it delivered four kinds of seeds to Japan. The four kinds of seeds are Phalaenopsis equestris, Taiwan quinoa, chili pepper, and sunflower. They are expected to arrive in the United States in September this year and to board a spacecraft in October this year bound for the International Space Station (ISS).
Those taking part in the program domestically and selecting the seeds include the Agricultural Research Institute of the Council of Agriculture and the Department of Agronomy at National Chung Hsing University
