Read books, get game tickets! CTBC Brothers "Reading Home Run" kicks off in Taichung from 8/8
The "2020 Reading Home Run - Dreams Move Forward" public welfare campaign, jointly promoted by the CTBC Brothers baseball team, CTBC Bank and the National Library of Public Information, runs simultaneously at 30 libraries nationwide from August 8 to September 30, inspiring people across the country to read avidly and passionately support baseball through exchanging reading for game tickets. Li Yujui, Director-General of the Taichung City Sports Bureau, attended the campaign press conference on behalf of the city yesterday (the 3rd), affirming that the public welfare campaign inspires the public to read and support baseball.
Director-General Li Yujui said that since 2018 (the 107th year of the Republic of China calendar), the city government has deepened its cooperation with the CTBC Brothers, working together along three main axes: "developing five-tier baseball," "local operations in Taichung," and "driving city marketing," allowing baseball to take deep root and develop in Taichung. He hopes the public welfare campaign will deepen the CTBC Brothers' localized operations, encourage friends who love baseball to read, and also inspire friends who love reading to feel passion for baseball.
The Taichung City Sports Bureau pointed out that from August 8 to September 30 this year, the public can borrow three books from participating libraries and write down memorable passages from the books on the "activity pamphlet" provided by the library to redeem a voucher for an infield ticket to the CTBC Brothers' Intercontinental Baseball Stadium; in addition, a bonus Facebook lucky draw gives readers a chance to become a CTBC Brothers "One-Day VIP," able to watch the exciting games of the CTBC Brothers baseball team from the VIP room or the deluxe family seats at Intercontinental Baseball Stadium.
