A Different Kind of Summer Camp! Come Take On the Animal Keeper Challenge at Hsinchu Zoo

Still not sure what to do this summer vacation? The first major event since Hsinchu Zoo's rebirth is here. In August it will launch the "Animal Call-Up! Summer School" summer camp, tailor-made for children: one month long, 18 course sessions and 360 places, with "six major themes" of activities prepared, including Animal Observer, Fun Seed Digging, Hippo Gold Paper, Animal Keeper Challenge, One-Day Animal Doctor and Zoo Designer. The courses are both fun and rich in the meaning of life education. Online registration is expected to open this Saturday, July 25, at 10 a.m., and will close once all places are filled. Elementary school children are welcome to spend a different kind of summer vacation together!

Deputy Mayor Shen Hui-hung, speaking at the promotional event yesterday (the 23rd), said that the summer camp launched by the zoo this time is very special. It is the zoo's first large-scale event since its reborn last year, and the staff themselves are very much looking forward to it. They hope that through the related courses and hands-on activities, children can get close to animals and also learn about the work of keepers, thereby carrying out the zoo's philosophy of rebirth.

The zoo reminds everyone that online registration for the "Animal Call-Up! Summer School" summer camp will open on Saturday, July 25, at 10 a.m. Interested members of the public are welcome to sign up online. For event details, please check the "Hsinchu Zoo" Facebook fan page.
