Deputy Mayor Linghu Rongda attended the launch press conference yesterday and today (the 22nd) to voice support for Lishan's high-mountain tea, peaches and other premium agricultural products, and invited tourists to take advantage of the summer vacation to visit Lishan for a cool retreat, watch the indigenous-style Atayal song and dance performances and enjoy the beautiful scenery, taking in first-class views without having to travel abroad.

Deputy Mayor Linghu Rongda said that when he went to Lishan in early April this year to inspect agricultural damage, he also took the opportunity to visit Lishan Guest House and Fushoushan Farm, and affirmed that the Lishan area has beautiful scenery. He mentioned that Heping District accounts for nearly half of Taichung City's area, has a relatively small population but is a place that produces outstanding people, and that Lishan peaches in particular, after decades of careful variety improvement and cultivation, have reached a first-class international standard. Lishan high-mountain tea is fragrant and mellow, and was once known as official tea. With its beautiful scenery and abundant produce, everyone is welcome to use the Taichung Shopping Festival period to visit Heping District for sightseeing and to taste local agricultural specialties.

Gu Zhiwei, acting district chief of Heping District Office, explained that this year the Heping District Office will continue to use the market brand positioning of "The hometown of peaches is in Lishan" to deepen awareness and marketing promotion, establish an exclusive peach brand image, and market the five-star Lishan peaches - the best quality in the country, the largest planted area, and accounting for about half of all peaches in Taiwan - to all parts of the country. The district office has also once again partnered with Taiwan Fengkang Supermarket's 48 stores across Taiwan to simultaneously put Lishan peaches on the shelves for sale, and welcomes the public to go and buy them.
