Under Taitung's Most Beautiful Starry Sky, Taipei Philharmonic Moves a Thousand Hearts at Baxian Cave
Taitung's Most Beautiful Starry Sky Teams Up with Taipei Philharmonic to Move a Thousand Hearts Before Baxian Cave
The third concert of the "2020 Taitung's Most Beautiful Starry Sky Concert Series" concluded successfully at Baxian Cave in Changbin Township, a site symbolizing Taiwan's cultural and historical origins; with the arrival of summer vacation and the official launch of the Triple Stimulus Vouchers, over a thousand visitors came to take part, and amid the glittering starlight the public was captivated by the indigenous songs of the Amis Gajen Ensemble and the beautiful melodies of the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra, rediscovering their purest and most peaceful original selves.
Following the success of the first two concerts in Green Island Township and Haiduan Township, which each drew enthusiastic crowds of over a thousand people and generated considerable buzz, the "Taitung's Most Beautiful Starry Sky Concert Series" grandly held its third concert on July 18 in front of the famous scenic spot Baxian Cave in Changbin Township, where the culturally significant Amis Gajen Ensemble and the internationally acclaimed Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra joined forces to let the notes of their movements drift through the air against a night sky dotted with stars. Mr. Chen from Kaohsiung said that last year he and his then-girlfriend, now wife, also came to Changbin Township for the Most Beautiful Starry Sky concert; the two lay hand in hand on Jingang Boulevard gazing at the stars, creating an unforgettable memory. So this year, as soon as they learned of the event, the couple immediately planned their trip to relive that sweet experience.
Four more concerts of the Taitung's Most Beautiful Starry Sky Concert Series are coming up: July 24 at the Old Donghe Bridge Recreation Area in Donghe Township, July 25 at Shangwu Coastal Park in Dawu Township, August 15 at the Gaotandi Baseball Field (Jialan Baseball Field) in Jinfeng Township, and the finale on August 21 at Guanshan Water Park in Guanshan Township, featuring Golden Melody Award-winning singer Ilid Kaolo, the Ministry of Culture "Taiwan Brand Team" U-Theatre, the internationally acclaimed vocal group OK Choir, cellist Chang Cheng-chieh, and others, creating a "star" experience in Taitung's hidden gems.
