Hualien County - Promotes 5 major themed tourism categories and produces a series of sightseeing maps

Hualien County - Developing themed and segmented tourism, this summer it produced 5 major themed series of sightseeing maps: "Specialty Shops Run by Foreign Owners," "Family Travel," "Pet-Friendly Travel," "Meteor Hualien - Astronomy Tourism," and "Muslim-Friendly Dining and Accommodation." It also made advance arrangements by producing Muslim-friendly dining and accommodation maps in Indonesian and English, preparing ahead for the reopening of international travel. The "Meteor Hualien - Astronomy Tourism" map takes stock of this year's major astronomy events and provides this year's "Top Ten Astronomical Phenomena." After the "Summer Solstice Annular Solar Eclipse" on June 21, the public is welcome to come to Hualien to enjoy the "Perseid Meteor Shower" on August 12 and the "Geminid Meteor Shower" on December 14.

Hualien County - also produced the "Specialty Shops Run by Foreign Owners" map, introducing 24 restaurants and 4 homestays opened in Hualien by foreign owners, and further published the book "Foreigners in Charge - Hualien Is My Home," reading Hualien through a foreign perspective.

The "Family Travel" map addresses what fathers and mothers need when taking children out, providing information on 60 breastfeeding rooms, 36 parent-child-friendly restaurants and 7 friendly restrooms countywide; the map also takes stock of 4 distinctive parks, including Meilun Mountain Park parent-child playground, Hualien City Jinfeng Parent-Child Park, Huagang Mountain Parent-Child Sand Play Pool, and Giraffe Park; the map also recommends 28 attractions suitable for three-generation outings, including Asia Cement Ecological Park, Qixingtan, Shin Kong Chao Feng Ranch and Resort, Farglory Ocean Park, Taitung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station Happy Farm, and Ruisui Ranch, making it convenient for the whole family to refer to and plan itineraries.

To solve the food and accommodation problems that pet parents most easily encounter when traveling with pets, the "Pet-Friendly Travel" map lists information on 62 pet-friendly homestays and 33 pet-friendly restaurants, letting pet parents travel happily with their fur kids and leave brilliant life memories for each other.

The "Muslim-Friendly Dining and Accommodation" map combines faith and sightseeing, providing information in three languages: Indonesian, English and Chinese. It lists restaurants and accommodations in Hualien County certified by the Chinese Muslim Association and the Taiwan Islamic Association, and also provides attractions with Muslim-friendly environments such as prayer rooms and ablution facilities, linking the above information into 2 suggested itineraries, so that Muslim friends from home and abroad can travel in Hualien easily and with peace of mind.
