Yunlin County Executive Supervisors' Meeting Moves to Mailiao to Promote Mailiao Regional Revitalization

Yunlin County - Yesterday (the 9th), County Magistrate Zhang Lishan led all bureau and department heads to the Chaoyang Green Energy Park in Mailiao to convene the 15th Executive Supervisors' Meeting, using on-site observation and briefing local residents on the progress, future plans and development of Mailiao's regional revitalization, hoping to use Mailiao Township as the core to build a friendly living smart town and drive the development and prosperity of coastal townships.

County Magistrate Zhang Lishan pointed out that the Mailiao regional revitalization proposal is the fourth regional revitalization proposal applied for by Yunlin County, following "Kouhu Taiwan Tilapia," "Gukeng Coffee" and "Tuku Study Tour." Mailiao Township has a unique style with beautiful scenery, obvious local characteristics in religion, industry and culture, and can serve as a relay station along the Coastal Highway, enjoying innate advantages such as a pivotal geographical location and convenient transportation. In the future, it will combine the marketing of relevant highlights and integrate smart leisure and recreation information, and work deeply with local small farmers to achieve diversified industrial and economic innovation.

The Mailiao regional revitalization proposal takes the National Development Council's first arrow of the five major regional revitalization promotion strategies, "Enterprise Investment in Hometown," as its promotion strategy, with the Chaoyang green energy industry as the core to drive local development and revitalize the local economy. It is expected to invest 110 million yuan in Mailiao to build a friendly experiential environment venue, and teach young people returning to their hometowns to engage in the green energy industry, using a friendly education base to attract outside visitors, which can attract about 5,000 visits to Mailiao per year; in addition, it will guide about 50 small farmers into contract farming, increase about 35 job vacancies, and drive about 500 people to return to their hometowns.

County Magistrate Zhang Lishan stated that in the future, the county will continue to actively guide and assist other townships (towns, cities) in applying for regional revitalization proposals in line with National Development Council policies, developing local potential and attracting population return.
