Export Processing Zone Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs Works Nonstop to Increase Industrial Land, Releases Administrative Site Land

To ease the demand for industrial space in the Nanzih Park, the Export Processing Zone Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs (referred to as the Administration) is working nonstop to increase industrial land, and has once again released land from the administrative site of the Nanzih Park, about 4,360 sq m of land, for public tender, providing factory construction land to attract businesses to expand investment, meet manufacturers' needs for finding land and building (expanding) factories, and through a feedback mechanism have manufacturers improve the park's infrastructure or facilities, so as to enhance the construction of the park's quality service and environment.

The Export Processing Zone Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs stated that since 105, in order to promote the turnover of park land, it pioneered the "turnover base" policy. The first investment case was won by Lite-On Group. The Phase 1 factory building has been completed, and a comprehensive building (6 floors above ground, 1 floor below ground) was built and donated on the administrative site. The building has been completed and put into use, making it convenient for administrative service units and the post office in the zone to relocate and move in to share office space. After the administrative units relocate, the old site is released again to become a turnover base, where new factory buildings can be built to increase investment, gradually achieving the park renewal goal.

The land offered for tender in this case is located within the administrative site of the Nanzih Park (the former fire brigade and Nanjia Restaurant). The buildings within the site are nearly 50 years old, and most are used by administrative service-related units with low floor area ratios. In response to the land demand of Taiwanese businesses returning to Taiwan to build (expand) factories, the Export Processing Zone Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs is actively promoting the spatial redevelopment of the administrative site of the Nanzih Park. Through the gradual demolition of buildings in the site, factory construction land will be released in phases and zones to attract manufacturer investment.

The Export Processing Zone Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs pointed out that the plan was announced on June 15, 109, and investment applications will be accepted until July 15, 109. The investment announcement information is posted in the "Latest News" section of the Administration's website (URL: http://www.epza.gov.tw). Interested investors are welcome to check online and download relevant documents and forms.
