In the Post-Pandemic Era, Yunlin County Magistrate Chang Li-shan Leads First-Level Officials to Go All Out for Tourism

As the pandemic gradually subsides, following the Huashan hiking event to promote Yunlin tourism, early on the 6th, Yunlin County Magistrate Chang Li-shan once again led the county government's first-level officials up Erjian Mountain, known as the "Yushan of Yunlin," and on to Dajian Mountain, to inspect the progress of trail repairs, train their fitness and promote tourism, and also invite everyone to visit Yunlin and enjoy its beautiful mountains and waters and distinctive cuisine.

Magistrate Chang Li-shan stated that the various venues in Yunlin County that had been closed began gradually reopening from 6/1. During the pandemic prevention period, colleagues from all bureaus and departments of the county government devoted themselves fully to epidemic prevention, and after the restrictions were lifted, they would go all out for tourism. In addition to planning the "Yunlin Safe Travel Let's GO!" series of events, including two experience itineraries such as the classic Yundong trail "Forest Breathing" and the Yunxi deep land-and-sea "micro-tour," this time she once again took the lead in guiding all the officials up Erjian Mountain and Dajian Mountain, live-streaming Yunlin's beautiful scenery and inviting the public to visit Yunlin.

Magistrate Chang Li-shan said that personally experiencing the comfort of climbing Dajian and Erjian is like opening up the governing and conception vessels. Only by being there in person can one know the seclusion of the ancient trails and the beauty of Yunlin. Along the way are beautiful tea plantations, layered mountain ridges, fresh air, and beautiful mountains and waters, which she hopes everyone will come and share.

Lin Chang-tsao, Director of the Department of Urban and Rural Development, stated that Yunlin County had already secured 10 million yuan in funding from the Tourism Bureau for the Erjian Mountain trail reconstruction project, and detailed design work for the project is currently being handled; in addition, the county government has raised 6 million yuan on its own to carry out the 10-5 trail reconstruction project, which is now under construction. After both trails are completed in the future, they will be able to link Huashan Educational Farm, the 10-5 Trail, Dajian Mountain, Erjian Mountain, the 4-2 Trail, Huashan Shanzhuhu, the Lovers' Suspension Bridge, the Small Sky Ladder Suspension Bridge, the Debris Flow Trail and other scenic spots, forming a loop trail system that will allow visitors to experience the scenery of Yunlin's ridge mountains in greater depth.
