Small-Scale Online Marketing Delegation Joins Forces with Chiayi to Advance Internationally
The novel coronavirus has dealt a severe blow to global industries, and this "pandemic" has unexpectedly changed the global trade landscape, with businesses and business models facing severe challenges. During the pandemic prevention period, marketing efforts do not stop, and the time and space for marketing are not limited. Chiayi City-, the Chiayi City Industrial Development and Investment Promotion Committee and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council yesterday (the 13th) jointly held the "Small-Scale Online Marketing Delegation Briefing Session" - Chiayi Session in the eighth-floor meeting room of the city government, connecting Chiayi businesses and overseas buyers for one-on-one video negotiations from 40 countries and 60 cities overseas, helping Chiayi manufacturers expand business opportunities into overseas markets.
Mayor Huang Min-hui stated that Taiwan's pandemic prevention work has been deployed ahead of schedule, with everyone fulfilling their duties diligently and cooperating, creating an outstanding record of multiple consecutive days with zero confirmed cases and no local infections in Taiwan. However, the impact of the pandemic on commercial development has been severe. Overseas countries, whether in Asia or Europe, have all been forced to suspend and delay operations across the global industrial supply chain and market trade. The pandemic has also affected adjustments and changes to business operating models. Nevertheless, through the e-commerce platform opportunities built by the small-scale online marketing delegation, overseas buyers can be brought in, and products can be marketed overseas even more effectively. The city government and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council are working hand in hand so that good products from Chiayi City can be seen by the whole world. Thanks to the team led by Director Zhou of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council Tainan Office, and even more thanks to every guest present for their participation.
Deputy Mayor Chen Shu-hui stated that Chiayi City is currently actively coordinating with various ministries and agencies to begin planning and implementing economic revitalization measures. In view of the development of the online market, in addition to planning physical revitalization plans focused on domestic demand, expanding Chiayi City's high-quality brands into overseas markets through virtual spaces and enabling good products from Chiayi City that meet export conditions to be ordered directly by overseas buyers are both goals of the city government's efforts.
