In order to expand sales channels and boost buying, starting yesterday (the 11th), Taitung County - partnered with a top-tier supermarket in Xinyi District, Taipei, to launch an 18-day limited-time "city’super Taitung Good Products Exhibition" special event, offering premium Taitung goods while also holding a giveaway for Taitung-exclusive grand prizes such as hot air balloon free-flight and tethered-ride tickets for purchases reaching a set amount.

At 2 p.m. yesterday (the 11th), Taitung County - held a tasting promotion press conference for the 2020 Taitung Products Exhibition at City’super Xinyi Store, personally hosted by Magistrate Rao Ching-ling, who traveled north for the event. At the press conference, Magistrate Rao Ching-ling especially said that she thanked City’super for providing such a good sales channel, allowing Taitung's high-quality goods to be recommended to consumers through different channels. Amid the pandemic, in addition to external protection, internal defensive strength must also be taken into account. Epidemic prevention means eating healthily, and the public is welcome to taste the pure foods produced in Taitung with its fine mountains and waters, eating local and seasonal together.

The Taitung County Finance and Economic Affairs Department explained that last year it successfully matched the top-tier supermarket "C!ty`Super" for the first time to carry out a top-tier supermarket channel product selection inspection demonstration project, smoothly helping Taitung businesses expand into high-end channels and winning the favor of high-end consumers. Therefore, this year it expanded promotion of Taitung's high-quality products with the supermarket operator, holding simultaneous exhibitions and sales of Taitung products from May 11 to 28 at 7 supermarkets including those in Xinyi District, Taipei. These include red quinoa, roselle, Chishang rice, fresh milk, and the indigenous traditional food millet abai, as well as Taitung's well-known souvenir gifts, sweet potato crisps, sailfish meat paper, deep-brewed fruit vinegar, and so on. Of course, there is also the soon-to-be-in-season summer snow mango. It is hoped that during this wave of the pandemic, more Taipei consumers can buy Taitung's healthy, safe, and high-quality products, and that Taitung businesses can be helped out of the difficulties caused by the pandemic.
