Several flowers suitable for sowing in winter, if not now, when?

Winter is the bleakest time of the year. At this time, flowers and plants wither and fade, losing their former vitality. However, quite a few flowers and plants are special: they are not afraid of the severe cold, and when sown in winter they still grow vigorously, sprouting upward. Below we take stock of the flowers suitable for winter sowing, planting vitality and hope into the pure winter.

I. Hyacinth

The hyacinth is a quite beautiful flower, mainly divided into two major categories: the Dutch type and the Roman type. Its requirements for growing conditions are not very high, and unexpectedly, such a beautiful flower is also very suitable for sowing in winter. By nature it can endure the ravages of cold; its leaves and flower buds can survive particularly well in an environment of around ten-plus degrees, and it can even tolerate frost, though it is still best not to leave it in a frosty environment for long periods.

II. Agave

The agave has particularly tenacious vitality and is very suitable for sowing in the cold winter. It can still survive at seven degrees Celsius, so in winter, as long as it is not especially cold, it can basically survive. The agave itself is particularly fond of water and sunlight. If given a certain amount of water and light, sowing it in winter is basically no problem.

III. Ivy

The ivy's vines are particularly long, and it belongs to the shrub category. It generally twines around trees, and of course planting it in a courtyard also has a distinctive charm; planting it on rocks and house walls is even more beautiful. Its cold resistance is superb: basically, as long as the temperature stays above three degrees Celsius, it can survive. Of course, if it is placed briefly at minus eight degrees Celsius, it can also endure it.

IV. Cactus

The cactus is a plant we are relatively familiar with. This plant produces small yellow flowers, but the flowering time is very short, and it is hard for it to bloom even once a year. The cactus's survival requirements are very simple, and sowing it in the cold winter can definitely survive; it can survive even in a dry desert. Watering a cactus also has its particularities: it should only be watered when it has dried out, and it must not be watered too wet, otherwise it is very easy for it to wither. Of course, you should also protect the cactus's stem, which is where it stores nutrients.

V. Plum blossom

There is no need to say much about the plum blossom; everyone knows it is extremely cold-resistant and can bloom facing the snowflakes even in winter. Even so, in northern China it is still better suited to being kept in a pot for survival.
