How to fertilize scientifically in greenhouse flower care

In flower care, besides watering, fertilizing is also an important aspect. Here we will share how to fertilize in flower care so that plants grow well.
The fertilizers commonly used in flower care are mainly organic fertilizers. Organic fertilizers mainly include human manure, barnyard manure, poultry manure, cattle and sheep hooves and horns, mule and horse hoof pieces, fish innards, oil residue, bone meal, compost, etc., but organic fertilizers must be fully fermented and decomposed before use. Of course, we can also use flower fertilizer tablets or inorganic fertilizers such as urea and ammonium sulfate. Apart from flower fertilizer tablets, which are used according to the instructions, other chemical fertilizers need to be diluted to a concentration of 1-2 parts per thousand before being used as topdressing.
There are generally two methods of fertilizing in flower care.
1. Base fertilizer
In flower care, base fertilizer is generally applied when repotting the flowers. The usual method of applying base fertilizer is to mix a certain proportion of decomposed organic fertilizer into the flower growing soil. Cattle and sheep hoof shells, horse hoof pieces, or dried manure can also be placed as a layer at the bottom of the potting soil.
2. Topdressing
In flower care, topdressing methods can generally also be divided into two types:
(1) The first topdressing method is to scatter manure powder, oil residue powder, bone meal, etc. on the surface of the potting soil, and use a wire hook to mix the fertilizer with the surface soil;
(2) The second topdressing method is to soak hoof pieces, hoof shells, fish innards, oil residue, etc. in water, and use them after full fermentation and decomposition, dilution with water. When topdressing flowers, it is generally necessary to analyze specifically according to the growth and development of the flowers and the season. Applying dry fertilizer is generally done during the growth period of the flower plants, once a month. Applying liquid fertilizer is generally done during the vigorous growth period of the flower plants, generally once every 7-10 days;
After the weather turns cool in autumn, it can generally be applied once every 15-20 days.
In winter, apart from flowers in their growth period, topdressing is generally not needed.
During the dormant period of flower plants, fertilizing is strictly prohibited.
The principle for topdressing flower plants is light fertilizer applied frequently. Neither undecomposed nor overly concentrated liquid fertilizer can be used. Liquid fertilizer should be applied when the potting soil is dry. Watering can be controlled 1-2 days in advance, and concentrated topdressing can be done when most flower potting soil is dry.
Southern flowers need to be topdressed with alum fertilizer water. The preparation method is to mix 1 part black alum, 3 parts pig manure, 5 parts bean cake, and add 100 parts water, then soak and ferment for one month into a black liquid. Take the clear liquid on top, dilute it with water, and it can be used. After each use, enough water should be added, until the color becomes lighter, and then it should be prepared again.
