At the same time, three themed itineraries have been planned - "Couples, Family, Ecology" - follow the cacao trail to tour Pingtung, stroll amid the sweet fragrance of cacao, get outdoors to boost your immunity, and join together to fight the pandemic. Pingtung is at a lower latitude, and its climate and geology are both suitable for growing cacao. Because it is located in the subtropics, Pingtung cacao has a unique fruity aroma and fruity acidity, with a different tropical fruit flavor in every bite. Director Huang Kuo-wei of the Department of Transportation and Tourism stated that Pingtung cacao has shone in international competitions. Many local cacao businesses have gone from agricultural cultivation at the start to combining leisure and tourism, developing cacao DIY experiences, cacao food and agriculture education, environmental education, and even researching and developing cacao masks, cacao noodles, cacao curry rice, and cacao tea. A single cacao bean can actually be made into products of different natures, and dozens of products are all astonishing. This time, 15 cacao shop operators in Pingtung County have been brought together, hoping to let other travel agencies plan tours and bring more tourists to Pingtung.
