Chiayi City hotel industry pulls off a surprise move with discount package - 6 Hearts Travel

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues at a high level, the tourism industry it affects is facing a harsh winter. Chiayi City is turning the crisis into an opportunity and has teamed up with major hotel operators to launch "6 Hearts Travel." Yesterday (the 26th), a press conference was held at the Kuanyue Garden Hotel. Operators pulled off a surprise move: in addition to stepping up disinfection and cleaning of all facilities, they also launched many attractive discount package deals. To symbolize the official start of "6 Hearts Travel," the event was paired with the hottest children's outdoor electric go-kart activity, so people could relax appropriately during the epidemic prevention period and achieve the goal of "6 Hearts Travel."

Chiayi City Mayor Huang Min-hui said that the sunshine of southern Taiwan is a natural disinfectant, and outdoor activities are relatively safe during the epidemic prevention period. Chiayi City's hotel operators have also carried out the most rigorous disinfection procedures. The "6 Hearts Travel" of "epidemic prevention with care, considerate service, staying with peace of mind, having fun, shopping with confidence, and the warmest travel" is absolutely worth experiencing for travelers from all over the country. Mayor Huang Min-hui further emphasized that the city government is taking stock of resources to help enterprises strengthen their foundations and help with relief, and has already relayed the voices of operators to the central government at the first opportunity. The Legislative Yuan formally passed the special regulations for epidemic prevention and relief revitalization on the 25th. Now Chiayi City wants to put forward another suggestion, hoping the central government will uniformly set the amount of house tax reduction for relevant operators and provide subsidies in the same way as the reduction of vehicle license tax.

Chang Wan-fen, director of the Chiayi City Tourism and News Department, pointed out that in addition to the hotel operators' money-saving discount activities, the annular solar eclipse, an astronomical wonder that astronomy fans have been eagerly awaiting, is also about to appear on June 21 this year. This event is expected to attract astronomy fans from all over the country to gather in Chiayi City and bring another wave of crowds to Chiayi City's tourism. In addition, in the second half of the year, Chiayi City will also plan and hold themed tourism activities to create a unique light environment and encourage travelers to stay overnight in Chiayi City.
