What should be noted when watering flowers?
When watering flowers, note the following:
1. Different flowers have different water requirements. Succulent flowers such as cacti and ball cacti are relatively drought-tolerant and do not need much watering; while flowers such as crab claw orchids (Schlumbergera) and water lilies prefer moist environments and need more water. For the same flower, water appropriately more during the seedling stage; water appropriately less during the flower bud differentiation stage to promote flower bud differentiation.
2. Rainwater or river water is best for watering; tap water should be left to stand for several days before watering.
3. Use the spray-watering method. It can increase air humidity, promote absorption by the leaves, and also wash dust off the leaf surface.
4. In hot weather, avoid watering at noon. If you forget to water for many days and the plant has already wilted from drought, never rush to water heavily; first spray the leaves 2-3 times with a spray bottle, and after the leaves recover, water a small amount.
