Emei Farmers' Association in Hsinchu County launches a five-person group-buy plan for tankan mandarins

Because the COVID-19 (Wuhan pneumonia) pandemic delayed the start of school and affected group meal services in various places, and because the Lunar New Year came early, the citrus market price in Emei Township fell steadily from its pre-Lunar New Year peak, when it averaged about 25 yuan per kilogram and high-quality fruit reached as much as 220 yuan. To market citrus, the Hsinchu County and Emei Township farmers' associations chose Valentine's Day to launch for the first time the "Five-Person Group Buy for Citrus Love ~ Just Right!" promotion, with County Magistrate Yang Wen-ke and the farmers' association's beautiful female employees together holding bright-colored, medium-sized, fresh and juicy "23A-grade tankan mandarins" to promote them. The public is invited to stay home and order directly through the online platform to enjoy tankan mandarins rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, sweet and healthy, while also helping fruit farmers.

County Magistrate Yang Wen-ke said that the extremely high value-for-money "Five-Person Group Buy for Citrus Love ~ Just Right!" plan features the best-produced 23A-grade tankan mandarins (23 cm circumference), packed in 25 Taiwan-jin boxes, with 5 portioning paper bags included, originally priced at 800 yuan but on a limited-time 25% off promotion, so one box can be bought for 600 yuan (home delivery shipping charged separately). The Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Hsinchu County and Miaoli area even has an added bonus: ordering 10 boxes comes with free shipping, delivered directly by the farmers' association at peak freshness!

The farmers' association has also partnered with the "Nongfule - Premium Fresh Supermarket" online shopping platform (https://bit.ly/36vdniI), where the sale price includes shipping. In the Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Hsinchu County and Miaoli area, orders of more than 10 boxes to the same address will have shipping deducted. The public can easily buy sweet and juicy citrus by credit card, bank transfer or wire transfer, and the online shopping platform will successively offer shopping perks such as raffles and free tankan mandarin juice. Consumers who want to order are welcome to search "Emei Farmers' Charm Buy" on Facebook (https://bit.ly/2uoT6NA) for information, or call the Emei Township Farmers' Association at 03-5800216.
