Greenhouse flower cultivation must guard against four hazards, take preventive measures in advance

Greenhouse flowers must guard against four hazards

1. Prevent cold damage: For flowers that are not cold-tolerant, cover them with straw curtains at night or set up small tunnels inside the greenhouse; you can also dig a water storage pit every few meters in the center of the greenhouse and use the pits to keep warm; or scatter some plant ash on the ground, which generally can raise the ground temperature by 1°C to 2°C.

2. Prevent moisture damage: When there is a lot of rain and snow, the greenhouse is closed for a long time, so drainage ditches should be dug well outside the greenhouse to lower soil moisture. In addition, some plant ash can be scattered on the ground to absorb heat and raise temperature, and absorb moisture and reduce humidity. At the same time, pay attention to keeping the greenhouse film taut and strictly prevent water accumulation and leakage on the roof.

3. Prevent gas damage: Fully decomposed organic fertilizer should be applied inside the greenhouse, and the amount of chemical fertilizer should be reduced as much as possible. On sunny and windless days, ventilation should be carried out in time to discharge harmful gases from the greenhouse.

4. Prevent diseases: The air humidity in the greenhouse is high, so special attention should be paid to preventing diseases such as powdery mildew, black spot, and anthracnose. For anthracnose, 75% chlorothalonil 500-fold solution can be used in the early stage of the disease; for powdery mildew, 1:1:140 equal-strength Bordeaux mixture can be sprayed for control; for black spot, 70% thiophanate-methyl 1000-fold solution can be sprayed for control. When applying pesticides in the greenhouse, avoid the high-temperature period at noon on sunny days and the flowering period.
