How to mix fertilizer for flowers

Growing flowers and plants can delight the mood and nurture the character, and beautify life. But many people often worry because they do not have suitable fertilizer. Below, the author introduces several homemade methods for mixing flower fertilizer.

1. Making nitrogen fertilizer: Boil until soft spoiled peanuts that can no longer be eaten, beans or bean cake, rapeseed cake, sauce residue, etc., store them in a jar, fill it with water, seal it and let it ferment for half a month, then take out the fertilizer liquid and dilute it with water before use. In addition, leftover soybean milk after fermentation is also a very good nitrogen fertilizer.

Generally, fermentation takes 2--3 days in summer, and can be extended to about 10 days in spring and autumn. It is used as a top dressing in the early growth stage of flowers and can make the branches lush and the leaves abundant. Note that you should not water flowers with unfermented soybean milk. Otherwise it will cause the soil to harden, resulting in a lack of oxygen in the soil, making it difficult for the roots to breathe, and thus affecting the normal growth of the flowers and trees.

2. Making phosphorus fertilizer: Put eggshells, sheep horns, pig trotters, bones, fish intestines and stomach, poultry manure, etc. into a vat or jar, add water, seal it, and after a period of rotting and fermentation, when the liquid turns black, it can be diluted with water and used. This is a phosphorus fertilizer with excellent fertility. Regular use can make flower colors vivid and fruits large.

It should be noted that some people have the habit of placing eggshells on flower pots. This not only fails to fertilize, but also causes the soil to harden and attracts flies to breed maggots, damaging the root system. Eggshells should be soaked in a small amount of water and fermented for several days before being used as a top dressing.

3. Making potassium fertilizer: Plant ash, rice washing water, spoiled milk, etc. are rich in potassium. The role of potassium fertilizer is to make the stems of flowers and trees thick and strong and the branches upright. When using plant ash, first scatter the ash on the surface soil at the base of the flowers, then sprinkle a little water. The ash enters the soil with the water and is easily absorbed by the flowers and plants.

4. Making trace element fertilizer: Take 5kg of human urine, put it into a porcelain container, remove the paper from 1--2 size No. 1 batteries, smash them, and put them into the urine, then add 25--30g of black alum, seal the opening and place it outdoors in a sunny place to ferment for about 40 days, then dilute with water and apply. This fertilizer contains many trace elements such as zinc, manganese, and iron, and is applied to various flowers.

Using the above methods to make fertilizer for growing flowers for many years, the effect is quite good.
