Is chicken manure used directly for flower cultivation and fertilization?

Chicken manure is an effective fertilizer that benefits plant growth, but it cannot be used directly when growing flowers. Its fertilizing power is very strong, which can cause root damage and may also lead to ammonia poisoning and leaf burn, which is very harmful to plants. Before using this chicken manure, it needs to be decomposed in advance. Dry chicken manure and wet chicken manure have different fermentation and decomposition methods, which can be carried out according to the situation.

1. Can it be used directly?

Chicken manure is a very good fertilizer. It contains nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other components. It is rich in nutrients, but it cannot be used directly when flowering. It has very good fertilizing effect. Direct application can cause root damage and may also lead to ammonia poisoning and leaf burn, so it cannot supplement fertilizer. Nutrients can also damage plants. Before using this chicken manure, it needs to be decomposed in advance, so that the impact on the roots can be reduced.

2. Fermentation and decomposition methods

1. Dry chicken manure: Spread the dried chicken manure flat on the ground in strips, then sprinkle water on it, add rice bran or wheat bran, then turn the compost over twice, pile it into a heap, and cover it with a rectangular plastic sheet. In the morning and evening, the plastic sheet is uncovered for ventilation. After 10 days, turn the plastic sheet once, and after 20 days it is mature.

2. Wet chicken manure: First spread a layer of grass powder on the ground, then spread the wet chicken manure on top, and sprinkle an appropriate amount of urea, superphosphate and quick-dissolving agent. After turning the compost over twice, pile it into several small mounds, then use a stick to punch ventilation holes, and cover with a plastic sheet to keep warm and prevent moisture. Also pay attention to ventilation and good air circulation.
