What flowers are suitable for children to grow
Which flowers are suitable for children to grow?
To let children learn some knowledge about flowers, it is very beneficial to help them grow a few pots of flowers as early as possible. Generally speaking, bright colors and novel things most easily catch children's attention, so it is suggested to choose the following two types of flowers for children to care for.
Those with beautiful and attractive fruit: such as the fig, which bears fruit without showing flowers; the winter coral (Jerusalem cherry), which produces red berries; the golden silver eggplant, whose fruit skin is first white and then yellow; and the finger citron (Buddha's hand), whose fruit is fragrant and strangely shaped.
Those with strange forms and habits: such as the epiphyllum, whose flowers are short-lived and only open at night; the pitcher plant, which can catch insects; the living stone (Lithops), whose plant body closely resembles a stone; and the sensitive plant (Mimosa), whose leaves close up and whose leaf stalks droop when touched.
