Kaohsiung Deputy Mayor Yeh Kuang-shih Invited to Participate in E-Zhi-Du-Xiu Welcome Enterprises to Kaohsiung

Kaohsiung Deputy Mayor Yeh Kuang-shih was invited yesterday (the 18th) to participate in the "E-Zhi-Du-Xiu - EMBA Intercollegiate Entrepreneurship and Succession Presentation Show" event co-organized by the Kaohsiung Industrial Development Association and the EMBA programs of National Taiwan University and National Sun Yat-sen University. He mentioned that entrepreneurship and succession are completely different challenges. Entrepreneurs usually have a stronger wolf-like nature, daring to charge and crash forward without fear; successors, because of their education and upbringing, tend to be more modest and gentle. Many enterprises in Taiwan, China all face complex and contradictory problems in the succession process, and this presentation show involves diverse corporate case studies, making it highly significant.

Deputy Mayor Yeh Kuang-shih stated that the city government places great importance on both entrepreneurship and corporate succession. In terms of entrepreneurship, Kaohsiung has established many Coworking Spaces and entrepreneurship bases, and has set up a Youth Bureau to encourage young people to start businesses; the Economic Development Bureau focuses on the transformation and upgrading of existing industries, and emphasizes service to enterprises and improvement of efficiency. It has also cooperated with the Commerce Development Research Institute, the Industrial Technology Research Institute, and local universities and colleges to hold different industry forums, to actually understand the needs of enterprises, with the hope of helping enterprises in transformation, upgrading, and succession, and welcomes all enterprises to start businesses and invest in Kaohsiung.

The Kaohsiung Industrial Development Association has held "E-Zhi-Du-Xiu" for the 3rd year. This year (108th year of the Republic of China), continuing past experience and energy, it expanded the topic of succession, inviting benchmark EMBA schools from northern and southern Taiwan, China, using model cases of innovative entrepreneurship and succession, with selected teams presenting through a presentation show, giving entrepreneurial and succession elites from northern and southern EMBA programs a platform for mutual exchange and sharing, thereby linking talent and industry exchange and integration, bringing together entrepreneurs, young entrepreneurs, and campus exchanges and dialogue, enabling EMBA to use innovative thinking to practice the concept of mutual learning between teaching and learning, and gathering industry-academia resources to maximize co-created value.
