Go pop-up at New Taipei markets! New Taipei City launched a market pop-up plan and yesterday (the 17th) held a briefing session on the 2nd floor of the Xizhi Zhonghou Market, inviting nearly 30 chain franchise brands, including Laya Burger, Four Seas Yo Long, Yipin Live Shrimp, and Gansin Leyi, to attend together. The New Taipei City Market Administration Office said it looks forward to well-known brands entering markets as pop-ups and offering residents a brand-new shopping experience.
The New Taipei City Market Administration Office explained that anyone with a company or business registration and physical operating experience, and who operates self-media such as a Facebook fan page, may apply. The application period runs from now until December 31 of this year (2019), with a total of 14 markets and 94 stalls (spaces) available for application. As long as the relevant proposal is submitted and approved, applicants may, from January 1 to June 30 of next year (2020), move in short-term according to the applied period (minimum 3 days, maximum 2 weeks) and market stall, paying only a 100 yuan cleaning fee per day.
The New Taipei City Market Administration Office said that this time it is working together with the Taiwan Chain and Franchise Association to invite chain brands to enter major public markets across New Taipei City, hoping to inject new energy into the markets, create new business opportunities, and offer the public a different shopping experience. In the future, it is also planning to continue holding related pop-up activities for major festivals. In addition to improving the usage efficiency and visibility of public market stalls in New Taipei City, it also hopes that New Taipei markets will become a great place for chain operators to expand their consumer groups, creating a win-win-win situation for consumers, businesses, and markets.
