The manual helps teachers quickly get started with food and agriculture courses
This kindergarten food and agriculture education course operation manual was authored by the NCHU Organic Farmers' Market. The market has been involved in semester-based food and agriculture education course planning since the 102nd year of the Republic of China. Starting last year, it began course cooperation and promotion in kindergartens, and has now reached 9 schools.
The content of the course manual collects the experience of implementing courses in kindergartens over these 2 years, allowing teachers willing to implement the courses to quickly and easily get started with course implementation. If paired with a local farmers' market or agricultural professionals, it becomes even easier and more relaxed to integrate food and agriculture education into regular teaching activities during course implementation and achieve the course goals.
Speaking of the original intention behind the design of this manual, market manager Yang Wenren pointed out: "At the beginning, we hoped to create a course that would allow farmers' markets all over Taiwan, China to participate together, connecting local markets with schools." Compared with the lack of agricultural resources in urban schools, farmers from the production areas can easily provide such assistance. Whether it is the materials needed for the course or seeds and seedlings, or even their professional knowledge, they can all provide
