New Taipei Enjoy Home Bar: Mayor Hou Yu-ih Hustles to Promote the Best Flavors of the Season

The "New Taipei Enjoy Home Bar" Yunlin Week sales event, a collaboration between New Taipei City and Yunlin County, opened with great fanfare on the 1st at the Far Eastern Department Store Banqiao Zhongshan Store. Mayor Hou Yu-ih was on hand to promote local specialty agricultural products such as Gukeng Liuding oranges, Jade Girl cherry tomatoes, and Black King Kong peanuts, inviting the public to taste the best flavors of Yunlin in season.

"Has everyone sold out yet?" Transforming into a super auctioneer, Mayor Hou Yu-ih first asked about how the agricultural product sales were going. Upon hearing that only 3 truckloads of Yunlin agricultural specialties had been prepared this time, the mayor said outright, "That's too easy," and went on to call on elected representatives, New Taipei Fruit and Vegetable Company Chairman Liao Rong-ching, and cadres of the New Taipei Yunlin Association to make purchases. The "New Taipei Enjoy Home Bar" arranges for each county and city to take turns participating, and next up will be a joint event by Taichung City and Yilan County.
