Mayor Hou Yu-ih said that November to February of the following year is the harvest period for Gongliao abalone, and also the season when the quality is at its plumpest. In order to promote Gongliao abalone, the city government not only guided farmers in obtaining production and sales traceability and production traceability certification, encouraging them to cultivate with care; it also cooperated with Anyong Fresh to use patented live-cell freezing technology, so that Gongliao abalone still retains its original bouncy texture after thawing. In addition, the city government held a series of events at the New Taipei Gongliao abalone production area.
